There where several contenders running for the presidency. The primary two candidates where Hilary Clinton (Democrat) and former first lady to Bill Clinton, and Donald J. Trump (Republican). According to the Federal Election Commission, There was a total of 245.5* Million Voting Age Population (VAP) in the USA as of the 2016 election, with 230.6* being Categorised as being Eligible Voting Population (EVP). But almost 94 Million EVP absent from casting a vote.


But of the more than 136.8 Million that voted, hear is Who they voted for
Hillary Clinton (Dem) received 28.56% of all Eligible Voting Population, our 48.11% of votes Cast.

Donald J. Trump (Rep) received 27.31% of all Eligible Voting Population, our 46.02% of votes Cast.
Gary Johnson (Lib) received 1.95% of all Eligible Voting Population, our 3.28% of votes Cast.
Jill Stein (Green) received 0.63% of all Eligible Voting Population, our 1.06% of votes Cast.
All other 3rd parties received 0.91% of all Eligible Voting Population, our 1.53% of votes Cast.

In the end the US does not run on popular vote they operate a system of electors which are aside on a winner tacks all bases. In the end only 2 parties/candidness received electors.
